Normally found in great abundance in Pokemon titles, Moon Stones are surprisingly rare in Pokemon Black and White 2. There are only two places to find a Moon Stone in the entire game - perhaps because evolving pokemon via Moon Stones isn't as much of a priority in the fifth generation - and, unlike most of the other evolutionary stones, buying one in the Pokemon World Tournament isn't an option.
The two Moon Stones are found in the following locations:
- The first is on Route 6, and is relatively easy to locate. Head to the Season Research Lab, just a little ways south from Chargestone Cave, and you'll find the item ball just outside the building.
- The second is in the Giant Chasm. The first time you visit the chasm you'll find a bunch of Team Plasma grunts fighting it out with Rood. North of here there's an item ball in the trees. The Moon Stone is even further north from this item, which is a Quick Claw.
If you're looking for more than two Moon Stones, you'll have to trade from another Pokemon title.

How to find a Fire Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2
Fire-type pokemon love them some evolvin', and many of them require a Fire Stone to make the final push into adult life. Where can you track down these elusive stones in Pokemon Black and White 2? There are three sources:
- The first is in Lentimas Town. When you first arrive you'll be on an air strip. Go northeast along it until you find a small gap in the fencing. Go through and up onto the bluffs to find the Fire Stone.
- The second is in the Desert Resort outside Nimbasa City. Head to the far west wall of the resort and you'll find an area surrounded by rocks and inaccessible cliffs. Go inside and activate your Dowsing Machine. It will steer you to a small niche in the southeast of this small area. The Fire Stone is hidden in the sand here.
- The only other way to get Fire Stones directly from Pokemon Black and White 2 is to compete in the Pokemon World Tournament. Fire Stones cost three Battle Points each.
Beyond this, you'll have to trade from other Pokemon games to get Fire Stones.

How to find a Water Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2
Unlike several of the other evolutionary stones in Pokemon Black and White 2, there are only two places where you can snag Water Stones. Neither are particularly difficult, but the second will require a bit more work than simply wading through landscape.
- The first Water Stone is the earliest you'll see, but you can't get it until much later in the game. Once you have a pokemon with Surf, travel to Floccesy Town and head onto Route 19 to the west. You'll soon see a patch of water. Surf northwest along it and you'll see an item ball in a small alcove. This is the Water Stone.
- The second Water Stone, and all subsequent Water Stones, can only be found at the Pokemon World Tournament. Each one costs three Battle Points, so you'll have to get into some competitions before you can buy one.
Any other Water Stones will have to be traded from other versions of Pokemon.

Thunderstones have gotten a little more difficult to locate in Pokemon Black and White 2, though there are still enough to satisfy most players. They can be found in the following three locations:
- The first Thunderstone, possibly the easiest to locate, is in Nimbasa City. Head to the Pokemon Center and pull out your Dowsing Machine. It will point you to the left side of the Pokemon Center. Check the ground one space away from the top of the sign for the stone.
- The second, predictably, is in Chargestone Cave. Proceed through the cave until you reach B2F. It's near the end of the floor, north of an ace trainer who's close to the chasm that dominates the south of the region.
- The third requires some league battling, as you can only get it at the Pokemon World Tournament (as well as any others you might require). Collect three Battle Points and you can trade them for a Thunderstone.
Beyond these three sources, Thunderstones must be traded in from previous games.

As ever, evolutionary stones are a little difficult to find in Pokemon Black and White 2. Leaf Stones are no exception, especially now that they can no longer be found in dust clouds. There are three places you can track one down:
- The first is on Route 7, north of Mistralton City. Travel towards the Celestial Tower and you'll combat several trainers in the tall grass just south of the tower. Not far from one of the preschoolers is an item ball containing a Leaf Stone.
- The second is in Lostlorn Forest, just north of Route 16 outside Nimbasa City. Head through the grass until you reach an open area and search it for trainers and items. One item is a Leaf Stone.
- The last method is to participate in the Pokemon World Tournament. Accumulate three battle points and you can buy a Leaf Stone.
Beyond that, you'll have to trade from other games. Happy hunting!
