How to find a Black Belt in Pokemon Black and White 2

Fighting-type pokemon have come a long way since their somewhat abysmal roots in the first generation of Pokemon, and it pays to make your fighting-types as strong as possible. Why not up their moves with a Black Belt?

Finding a Black Belt in Pokemon Black and White 2 is relatively easy, so long as you only want one, though you'll have to wait until you've beaten the game once to get it. After you have access to the many post-game areas, travel to Icirrus City and visit the Pokemon Center. A woman in here will give you a Black Belt.

Getting another Black Belt is somewhat trickier, as you need to get it from either a wild Sawk or a wild Throh. Visit Pinwheel Forest and hunt through the grass, using Thief on either of these pokemon that you encounter. One of them will, eventually, be holding a Black Belt.

How to find an Exp. Share in Pokemon Black and White 2

Exp. Shares are practically a standard when it comes to training weaker pokemon, and they have been since virtually the first generation (though in a slightly different form). Pokemon Black and White 2 continues the tradition with a few more Exp. Shares to stick on your pokemon. So where are they?

There are two Exp. Shares to be found in Pokemon Black and White 2. They're in the following locations:

- The first is in Castelia City's Battle Company building, just as in Pokemon Black and White. There is a slight change, however, in that you get the Exp. Share immediately upon entering the building and approaching the elevator, rather than after you beat the strongest trainer on the top floor. The Battle Company is the last large building to the left on Castelia's front block.

- The second is in Floccesy Town, though you can't get it until you've beaten Benga in either Black City or White Forest, depending on your version of the game. Conquer Black Tower or Whitehollow Tree and you'll can find Benga in Floccesy Town, where he'll hand over an Exp. Share (and a shiny pokemon to boot).

Any other Exp. Shares you'll need will have to come from other Pokemon games.

How to find a Moon Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2

Normally found in great abundance in Pokemon titles, Moon Stones are surprisingly rare in Pokemon Black and White 2. There are only two places to find a Moon Stone in the entire game - perhaps because evolving pokemon via Moon Stones isn't as much of a priority in the fifth generation - and, unlike most of the other evolutionary stones, buying one in the Pokemon World Tournament isn't an option.

The two Moon Stones are found in the following locations:

- The first is on Route 6, and is relatively easy to locate. Head to the Season Research Lab, just a little ways south from Chargestone Cave, and you'll find the item ball just outside the building.

- The second is in the Giant Chasm. The first time you visit the chasm you'll find a bunch of Team Plasma grunts fighting it out with Rood. North of here there's an item ball in the trees. The Moon Stone is even further north from this item, which is a Quick Claw.

If you're looking for more than two Moon Stones, you'll have to trade from another Pokemon title.

How to find a Fire Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2

Fire-type pokemon love them some evolvin', and many of them require a Fire Stone to make the final push into adult life. Where can you track down these elusive stones in Pokemon Black and White 2? There are three sources:

- The first is in Lentimas Town. When you first arrive you'll be on an air strip. Go northeast along it until you find a small gap in the fencing. Go through and up onto the bluffs to find the Fire Stone.

- The second is in the Desert Resort outside Nimbasa City. Head to the far west wall of the resort and you'll find an area surrounded by rocks and inaccessible cliffs. Go inside and activate your Dowsing Machine. It will steer you to a small niche in the southeast of this small area. The Fire Stone is hidden in the sand here.

- The only other way to get Fire Stones directly from Pokemon Black and White 2 is to compete in the Pokemon World Tournament. Fire Stones cost three Battle Points each.

Beyond this, you'll have to trade from other Pokemon games to get Fire Stones.

How to find a Water Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2

Unlike several of the other evolutionary stones in Pokemon Black and White 2, there are only two places where you can snag Water Stones. Neither are particularly difficult, but the second will require a bit more work than simply wading through landscape.

 - The first Water Stone is the earliest you'll see, but you can't get it until much later in the game. Once you have a pokemon with Surf, travel to Floccesy Town and head onto Route 19 to the west. You'll soon see a patch of water. Surf northwest along it and you'll see an item ball in a small alcove. This is the Water Stone.

 - The second Water Stone, and all subsequent Water Stones, can only be found at the Pokemon World Tournament. Each one costs three Battle Points, so you'll have to get into some competitions before you can buy one.

Any other Water Stones will have to be traded from other versions of Pokemon.

How to find a Thunderstone in Pokemon Black and White 2

Thunderstones have gotten a little more difficult to locate in Pokemon Black and White 2, though there are still enough to satisfy most players. They can be found in the following three locations:

 - The first Thunderstone, possibly the easiest to locate, is in Nimbasa City. Head to the Pokemon Center and pull out your Dowsing Machine. It will point you to the left side of the Pokemon Center. Check the ground one space away from the top of the sign for the stone.

 - The second, predictably, is in Chargestone Cave. Proceed through the cave until you reach B2F. It's near the end of the floor, north of an ace trainer who's close to the chasm that dominates the south of the region.

 - The third requires some league battling, as you can only get it at the Pokemon World Tournament (as well as any others you might require). Collect three Battle Points and you can trade them for a Thunderstone.

Beyond these three sources, Thunderstones must be traded in from previous games.

How to find a Leaf Stone in Pokemon Black and White 2

As ever, evolutionary stones are a little difficult to find in Pokemon Black and White 2. Leaf Stones are no exception, especially now that they can no longer be found in dust clouds. There are three places you can track one down:

 - The first is on Route 7, north of Mistralton City. Travel towards the Celestial Tower and you'll combat several trainers in the tall grass just south of the tower. Not far from one of the preschoolers is an item ball containing a Leaf Stone.

 - The second is in Lostlorn Forest, just north of Route 16 outside Nimbasa City. Head through the grass until you reach an open area and search it for trainers and items. One item is a Leaf Stone.

 - The last method is to participate in the Pokemon World Tournament. Accumulate three battle points and you can buy a Leaf Stone.

Beyond that, you'll have to trade from other games. Happy hunting!

How to find a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Black and White 2

Lucky Eggs are staple items for players who want to ramp up their levelling rates. When equipped to a pokemon a Lucky Egg will provide an extra 1.5x experience after a successful battle. Add that onto a traded pokemon, which already gets extra experience, and you've got a substantial bump in experience. So how do you find a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Black and White 2?

There are two ways to get one in the game:

- The first is to proceed through the game until you reach the Celestial Tower, north of Mistralton Town. Inside, whether you challenge Skyla first or not, you'll find Professor Juniper waiting on the first floor. Talk to her and she'll give you a Lucky Egg.

- The second, unfortunately, is through trading. Lucky Eggs are normally otherwise found on wild pokemon, or in Pokemon Black and White, through another event with Professor Juniper (in Chargestone Cave) or by talking to the Treasure Hunter on Route 13 and getting lucky. If you want to get a Lucky Egg from a wild pokemon, find a game that has wild Happinys or Chanceys, and catch as many as you can find. One will eventually have a Lucky Egg.

As of yet, aside from cheating, there is no other way to get a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Black and White 2. Whether that will remain true forever is currently unknown.

How to find TM35, Flamethrower, in Pokemon Black and White 2

Flamethrower is the ultimate in fire-type moves, and has been for a very long time. True, there are stronger moves out there, but none are as accurate or long-lasting as Flamethrower. Any fire-type that wants to reliably land a lot of one-hit KOs using their special attack stat should know Flamethrower.

Finding Flamethrower isn't too difficult, but it also can't be achieved until near the end of the game. You need to have defeated the plans of Team Plasma in the Great Chasm and made your way to the beginning of Victory Road on Route 23, just before the badge checkpoint that allows you access to the road.

There are two houses on Route 23. The first allows you to heal up your pokemon, which is handy as many of the trainers in this area are relatively tough. The second, closer to Victory Road itself, is home to an old man who, when addressed, will hand over TM35. Use it to teach your pokemon Flamethrower.

How to find TM19, Telekinesis, in Pokemon Black and White 2

Though not as infamous as many moves, owing to its age and lack of damage, Telekinesis is nevertheless a rather nifty addition to the fifth generation of the Pokemon games. It allows your pokemon to levitate the enemy pokemon, essentially giving it flying-type status without conferring the type; at the same time, however, it also renders the enemy utterly vulnerable to all attacks, regardless of their evasion stat. This is an excellent way to beat up those annoying pokemon who like Minimize, Sand Attack, Double Team and other such moves. So how do you get it?

Telekinesis isn't available for pickup until after you've beaten the Elite Four and the Pokemon League champion. Do that and you'll open up a great deal more of Unova for exploration, including Route 18, just west of Routes 17, 1, and Nuvema Town. You'll need Surf to access these routes. Travel west from Route 1 until you reach the centre of Route 18, a house atop a series of cliffs.

From here, continue west and down to the beach. You'll see a stretch of grass on a small rise, at the north of which is an item ball. Grab the item ball for Telekinesis.

How to find TM02, Dragon Claw, in Pokemon Black and White 2

Dragon Claw is an awesome move for taking out dragon-type pokemon because it's one of the few moves in that family which is readily available to a lot of different pokemon types. Don't be surprised if a bruiser of a completely different type tears apart your pokemon with a surprise Dragon Claw. This makes it a great boon to any team, dragon-typed or not - so where's the TM?

Dragon Claw as a TM isn't available until after you beat the game a single time. This means travelling to the Pokemon League and beating the Elite Four and the champion at least once. After doing so, you'll open up a lot of new territory, including the path to Icirrus Town in the west of Unova. Head there once it's open and you'll find another new location: Dragonspiral Tower, a place that's rife with dragon-type pokemon.

Enter the tower and climb. After the first floor you'll stop running into pokemon, so you'll have little trouble wandering the rest of the way up. Once you get to the fifth level you'll find Dragon Claw on the floor. Snag it and you can leave...

... or can you? It's not advisable to enter Dragonspiral Tower unless you have encountered N on Victory Road. Follow the Zoroark that appears when you ascend from the Pokemon League into the mountainside. It will eventually lead you to N's old castle, where you can fight his legendary-type pokemon, depending on which version of the game you own. When you beat said pokemon you'll receive a special stone which can be converted back into the pokemon you fought at the top of Dragonspiral Tower. Do that first to economize your time.

How to get the Fishing Rod in Pokemon Black and White 2

Prior to the fifth generation of Pokemon titles, the Fishing Rod was divided into three distinct categories: Old, Good, and Super. Each rod would allow you to catch different types and levels of Pokemon, with the third offering up far better fare than the other two. Surely the masters of Pokemon would not change this!

Well, actually, they did. The Fishing Rods of games past have been compressed into a single, powerful Super Rod in both Pokemon Black and White and Pokemon Black and White 2, and you need to beat the game to get both of them. This means having your character registered in the Pokemon Hall of Fame after defeating the champion who stands ahead of the Elite Four.

In Pokemon Black and White, you received the Fishing Rod automatically from Looker when the game restarted inNuvema Town - and, in fairness, you still get the rod there. In Pokemon Black and White 2, however, the rod is optionally given to you by Cedric, Professor Juniper's father, in her laboratory. Visit it after beating the final boss for the first time and you can fish to your heart's content.

Looking for the cream of the crop? Like Pokemon Black and White, the Super Rod in Pokemon Black and White 2 is a little different in that it can snag fully-evolved pokemon. All you need do is Surf out to whirlpools in water (of, if you're lucky enough, use ones from land) and cast your line. You'll likely get into a battle with a rare pokemon.
